The Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at MGIT proudly announces the involvement of its alumnus, Dr. Sairam Krishna (2007 Alumnus), in the establishment of the Sophisticated Analytical & Technical Help Institutes (SATHI) project at IIT Hyderabad. The project, valued at ₹80 crore, is a significant initiative aimed at enhancing scientific and technical support infrastructure.
MGIT is a partnering institute for this prestigious project alongside other academia, R&D organizations, and industries. Dr. Sai Sairam Krishna is serving as the Chief Coordinator of this research center, which focuses on advanced in-situ and correlative microscopy (CISCoM).
The inauguration was graced by distinguished guests, including Prof. Abhay Karandikar (Chief Guest), Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, and Sri. B. Venkatram (Guest of Honor), Principal Scientific Adviser, Government of India.
